Dear Valued Tribal Members,
Hello, I'm Jessica Garcia-Jones. I am a proud life-long Muckleshoot Tribal member. I am the daughter of Laurie Molina (Ross, from squalats village) and Carlos Garcia (Jalisco, Mexico). My husband is Matt Jones from Port Gamble Sklallam, and we have seven beautiful daughters, one grandson, and several nieces and nephews. I'm seeking re-election to the Muckleshoot Tribal Council to serve a fourth term. I'd be honored by your vote.
As a mother, wife, and grandmother, I bring this perspective to the table in a currently male-dominated Tribal Council. I believe it's a vital point of view to represent in our Tribal leadership, contributing feedback, recommendations, and considerations that affect our tribe and community as a whole.
While there are times I may not agree with every other council member on every subject or issue that comes our way, I remain a team player during my terms as your Tribal representative, which is important toward making real decisions and putting actions in motion that impact our community, our businesses, and our government. Working as a team allows us to develop creative solutions, set priorities, and strategize for the benefit of our tribe.
I've learned a lot during my three terms and I would like to apply this knowledge to continue this work for you all. I continue to put my heart and soul into this work and I have a passion and commitment to being your voice and creating pathways for the success of our Tribe and benefit of all our Tribal membership.
I'd like to thank ti dsyayaya, my friends and relatives, for their support and encouragement throughout my terms. Your motivation and God's strength pushes me to continue this work and pursue my goals.
I'm motivated and dedicated to extending my service to the community and advocate for all tribal members. If re-elected I'd like to continue to work in the areas where I've made the most impact thus far: Recreation, Health, Economic Development, Youth Services, Community Services, Human Services, Education, and Housing.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Your vote counts, and I hope to get your support.
With Gratitude,
Jessica Garcia
